The Darkness
By Christina Green
When the sunset falls,
it shuts the sky,
like the eye of a dreaming
angel.
the sky is painted black,
and the moon smiles across
the darkness,
sending a ray of light to
earth,
and the stars gently dance
across the black,
the clouds are invisible
servants,
bowing obedientlly to their
queen,
majesty of the sky,
the queen draws pictures
with the stars,
for earthlings to enjoy,
the stars wink until the last
are asleep,
asleep in the darkness.
